Police in Molo Sub-County, Nakuru County, intercepted a suspect after a dramatic high-speed chase that led to the recovery of stolen property, including gas cylinders. The incident unfolded on the evening of August 18, 2025, when officers on routine patrol spotted two unregistered motorcycles suspiciously carrying large sacks.
When the patrol team attempted to stop the riders, both tried to flee. A chase ensued through the Keep Left area of Molo, forcing one of the riders to abandon his motorcycle and escape toward Mutirithia. The second suspect, however, was intercepted and arrested after a brief pursuit.
Upon searching the sacks carried on the motorcycles, officers discovered nine assorted 6kg gas cylinders believed to be stolen. Investigations further revealed that the motorcycles had their frame numbers deliberately erased, a tactic often used by criminals to conceal the true identity of stolen or unregistered vehicles.
Authorities confirmed that the arrested individual is a well-known repeat offender in the area. Records show he has previously faced multiple charges, with a history of both convictions and acquittals at the Molo Law Courts.
