In Konoin, Bomet County, Gilbert Kipkoech, 42, was fatally injured during a quarrel over land with his younger brother. Police said the argument escalated into violence, with the assailant striking Kipkoech on the head with a piece of wood. The victim was rushed to hospital but succumbed to his injuries hours later. The suspect has been arrested and is set to be arraigned on Monday, November 24.
In Kisii County, a woman was found murdered in Nyangusu, Ritumbe area. Police reported that she had suffered a deep head injury, and her body was discovered without identification documents. Authorities are conducting an autopsy and efforts to establish her identity.
In Kajiado County’s Mashuuru area, three farm workers were arrested for killing a colleague following a dispute over the proceeds from butter nut sales. The victim had allegedly failed to remit the money from sales, prompting his colleagues to assault him, resulting in his death.
Narok County also recorded a fatal assault in Mulot, where Nicholas Koskei died in hospital after suffering head injuries in an attack. The assailant remains at large, with police launching a hunt.
In Nairobi, Edward Mwaura succumbed to injuries sustained in an assault in the Korogocho area on October 29. He later died at Kenyatta National Hospital, and authorities are investigating the case.
Police reports indicate that murder cases are rising steadily, with up to eight incidents reported daily. Authorities are urging the public to report disputes early and resolve conflicts peacefully to prevent further loss of life.
