In a chilling incident that has shaken Murang’a, a taxi driver unknowingly delivered a murder victim’s body in a bag to the police station, unraveling a horrifying murder mystery. The victim, a woman whose identity remains under investigation, was reportedly killed on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, and her body wrapped in blankets before being placed in a heavy bag.
The body was handed to the taxi driver by an individual who approached him under the guise of needing a parcel delivered to Kangari town. The driver, who regularly operates between Makombiki and Kangari, was flagged down by a man who appeared to be a passenger. After being informed that the bag contained a parcel to be delivered, the driver, unaware of the contents, agreed to take the heavy load. The man paid the driver and helped him load the parcel into the car, providing specific instructions on where it was to be delivered.
Upon reaching the designated drop-off point in Kangari, the driver was unable to locate anyone who appeared to be waiting for the parcel. Confused and uncertain, he decided to take the parcel to the Kangari police station for safekeeping, hoping that the intended recipient would eventually show up.
When the police opened the parcel, they were shocked to discover the decomposing body of a woman wrapped in polythene bags and clothes. The officers immediately launched an investigation, and within hours, four persons of interest were arrested. These individuals, including the woman’s two sons, her husband, and the taxi driver, are now being held in custody as the investigation continues.
