In a tragic incident in Kikuyu, Kiambu County, a man has surrendered to the police after fatally stabbing his older brother in a violent altercation. The suspect, a younger brother, was involved in a heated argument with Daniel Kamau Ndungi, which escalated to violence on October 21, 2025.
The two brothers were at Ndungi’s house when the altercation broke out over unclear reasons. During the confrontation, the younger brother grabbed a kitchen knife and struck Ndungi in the abdomen, delivering a fatal wound that led to his immediate death. The incident occurred in the sitting room where Ndungi was lying on a mattress on the floor.
After the attack, the assailant dragged the lifeless body into the bedroom and left it there, with blood stains leading from the sitting room to the bedroom. The police arrived at the scene and found the body, confirming that Ndungi had died on the spot. The weapon used in the crime, a kitchen knife, was recovered at the scene.
The suspect voluntarily surrendered to the authorities, reporting the crime and confessing to the brutal act. He is currently in police custody, awaiting further interrogation. Authorities are considering charges of murder, and the suspect is expected to be arraigned in court soon.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident in Migosi, Kisumu County, a 52-year-old boda boda rider, Joseph Ondego, was discovered murdered and left by the roadside. The body of Ondego was found on October 23, with stab wounds in the abdomen. His motorcycle, along with two mobile phones, was found nearby.
Both incidents have sent shockwaves through their respective communities, with residents expressing shock over the violence that led to these tragic deaths. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding each case.
