Fans of Harambee Stars will now be able to purchase the team’s jerseys at a heavily discounted rate ahead of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024. With the tournament just around the corner and Kenya proudly serving as one of the hosts, the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has responded to fan concerns over high jersey prices.
Thousands of local supporters have been eager to show their support by donning the national team colors during the championship. However, many expressed frustration over the steep retail prices. In a positive move to rally support and ensure more fans can wear the national colors, the federation has significantly slashed prices.
Previously retailing at Ksh 2,500, the jerseys will now be available for only Ksh 1,500. This offer is only available for a limited time, giving fans a short window to grab their kits ahead of the highly anticipated tournament. The discounted jerseys can be bought physically at Sonalux on Moi Avenue in Nairobi. For those unable to visit the store, an online option is also available through Eastwest.co.ke, where orders can be placed and delivered directly to fans across the country.
This move is expected to boost national morale and increase stadium turnout as Harambee Stars prepare for a challenging campaign in Group A. The group features tough opponents including DR Congo, Morocco, Zambia, and Angola. DR Congo and Morocco are among the most decorated sides in the competition, each having secured two CHAN titles previously.
Harambee Stars will play all their group matches at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani. Their opening fixture is set for Sunday, August 3, against DR Congo. The team will then face Angola on August 7, followed by Morocco and Zambia on August 10 and 17, respectively.
With the home support behind them and more fans now able to proudly wear the national colors, the stage is set for an exciting CHAN 2024 campaign. Fans are encouraged to act quickly, as the jersey discount runs only until August 7, making it a limited-time opportunity to show their support affordably.
