Mohammed Bajaber has emerged as one of Harambee Stars’ brightest talents, but behind his rise is an inspiring story of mentorship and determination. His journey from a young football enthusiast to a Kenya Premier League champion is a testament to talent nurtured under the right guidance.
Bajaber’s passion for football began early, playing in primary school at Premier Academy. However, his career truly took shape during high school, where his potential caught the eye of Veer Dave, a newly appointed physical education teacher and coach. Dave recognized the midfielder’s raw talent and introduced advanced training techniques that transformed Bajaber’s approach to the game. More importantly, Dave went on to establish the Star Field Elite Academy, which became the launchpad for Bajaber’s professional journey.
In 2021, while at Star Field Elite Academy, Bajaber attended trials with Danish Superliga side FC Midtjylland. Though he did not secure a contract, the experience exposed him to professional football standards and raised his profile. Shortly after, Nairobi City Stars spotted his talent and signed him in February 2022. Bajaber made his Premier League debut on May 15, 2022, in Ruaraka against Tusker, marking the beginning of his top-flight football career.

Bajaber’s big break came in February 2025 when he signed with Kenya Police FC. His influence in midfield proved pivotal as he helped the team secure the Kenya Premier League title. His consistency, vision, and composure on the ball have since made him a key figure for both his club and the national team.
Reflecting on his journey, Bajaber has often credited his childhood experiences and mentorship for shaping his career. As a young boy, he admired professional players and dreamed of reaching their level, drawing inspiration from watching Arsenal matches. His time at Premier Academy, followed by a brief stint with Ligi Ndogo between the ages of nine and eleven, laid the foundation for his skills. By high school, he was not only excelling on the pitch but had also taken on the responsibility of captaincy.
Today, Bajaber’s story stands as proof that with determination, the right support system, and opportunities, raw talent can flourish. His ongoing success with Harambee Stars and Kenya Police FC suggests that his journey to stardom is only just beginning.
