Harambee Stars defender Collins Sichenje has delivered a stirring message to fans, urging them to come out in full force as Kenya prepare to face Seychelles in their second leg World Cup qualifier at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
Kenya head into the match with momentum, having thrashed the Pirates 5-0 in the first leg. However, the players are keen to prove themselves again, especially after their disappointing 3-1 defeat to The Gambia. Sichenje admitted that the team struggled in Banjul but emphasized that the squad has reflected, learned from their mistakes, and is determined to bounce back stronger.
“I will just say, they should come to the field to support the team because we learn from our mistakes, and we are ready to fight on Tuesday and give everything,” he said.

Sichenje reminded fans that their presence is invaluable, often providing the extra push the players need in high-pressure situations. He stressed that football is bigger than any individual and called on supporters to back the team for the love of the nation. “The nation is bigger than everyone, so for the love of the country, I would like all the fans to come and support the team and give us more energy so we can finish the game in a good way and score the three points,” he added.
The defender also highlighted the contributions of youngsters Manzur Okwaro and Alpha Onyango, who impressed after coming off the bench against The Gambia. According to him, their introduction brought energy and lifted the team’s morale, demonstrating that the squad has depth and fresh options to call on when needed.
Despite being eliminated from the race to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the Harambee Stars remain focused on ending their campaign on a high. Sichenje believes that with lessons from their recent defeat, a renewed spirit within the squad, and passionate home support, Kenya can deliver another dominant performance against Seychelles.
For Harambee Stars, Tuesday’s clash is not just about points but also about pride, unity, and giving fans a reason to believe in the team’s journey. With the roar of Kasarani behind them, they are confident of securing victory.
