Martin Murimi’s team delivered an impressive performance at the Migaa Golf Course, clinching the top spot in the latest leg of the KCB East Africa Golf Tour. Murimi, along with his teammates Michael Mithika, Wilfred Itegi, and William Mbuthia, combined to score 153 points, leading them to victory in the four-ball competition.
The competition was fierce, with over 200 golfers participating, but Murimi’s team proved dominant throughout the event. They narrowly edged out the second-place team of Peter Ng’ang’a, Mike Kamanu, Arnold Olyaro, and Joseph Gwandaru, who posted 142 points.
In the individual categories, the performance was equally remarkable. Caroline Muriuki emerged as the overall winner, registering an outstanding 42 stableford points to take the top prize in the ladies’ division. Muriuki’s exceptional performance saw her edge out William Mbuthia, who claimed the men’s individual title with 41 points.
Pam Nkirote was also a standout, winning the ladies’ individual title with 41 points. In addition, special prizes were awarded, with Steve Mungemi winning the Men’s Longest Drive, while Wairimu Gachiru claimed the Women’s Longest Drive. Antony Mbadi and Patsy Kihiu won the Nearest to the Pin awards for the men’s and women’s categories, respectively, while Terra Saidimu was honored as the top guest participant.
Among the KCB staff, Peter Ndichu emerged victorious with 37 points, securing a win over David Kitheka, who finished with 35 points.
After the event, Murimi shared his excitement, highlighting the teamwork and preparation that contributed to their success. “Today has been incredible here at Migaa. My four-ball was fantastic, and our preparation really paid off. We pushed ourselves and are thrilled with this result. Now, we look forward to the grand finale on December 5,” said Murimi.
As the KCB East Africa Golf Tour continues, the next leg will take place at the Eldoret Golf Club on November 15, 2025. This ongoing series is helping to foster competitive golf across the region, with players of all levels aiming to make their mark.
