Manchester United will be looking to make it four wins in a row when they travel to the City Ground to face a struggling Nottingham Forest side on Saturday evening. The Red Devils have rediscovered their rhythm under Ruben Amorim and are pushing to break into the Premier League’s top four.
Nottingham Forest, on the other hand, find themselves in a difficult position despite starting the Sean Dyche era with a European victory. They followed up a 2-0 win over Porto in the Europa League with a 2-0 defeat at Bournemouth, leaving them three points from safety. Forest have now lost six of their last seven league games, failing to score in their previous four. Another defeat would mark their worst run since 2022.
Goals have been hard to come by for Dyche’s teams, a trend that has carried over from his previous spells. His sides have scored less than a goal per game in his last 14 Premier League outings. Nevertheless, Forest have reason for optimism, having beaten United in their last three league meetings, scoring six goals in the process. A fourth straight victory would mark their longest winning streak over the Red Devils in more than a century.
Manchester United arrive full of confidence following three consecutive league wins, including a thrilling 4-2 triumph over Brighton. Summer signings Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo were both on target, signalling the growing attacking chemistry in Amorim’s setup. With 15 points collected since late August, only Arsenal have earned more in that period.
However, United’s away form remains a concern, with only four points gained from a possible twelve on the road. They have also lost on their last two visits to the City Ground and will be determined to end that run.
Forest will be without several key players including Chris Wood, Oleksandr Zinchenko, and Ola Aina due to injuries. For United, Harry Maguire is expected to return after missing the Brighton game, while Lisandro Martinez is still not fully fit.
