Harambee Stars striker Ryan Ogam has expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support from fans despite facing a tough start at Wolfsberger AC. The 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) star completed his move to the Austrian Bundesliga club in September 2025, leaving Kenyan Premier League side Tusker FC for an undisclosed fee. His potential was evident, especially after scoring two match-winning goals during CHAN, which caught the attention of Wolfsberger AC’s scouting team.
Since joining the club, however, Ogam has struggled to secure consistent minutes on the pitch. His debut for Wolfsberger AC saw him as a substitute in a 3-1 win over Grazer AK, and his only start came in the Austrian Cup against SKU Amstetten, where he was substituted at halftime. Under the new head coach, Peter Pacult, Ogam’s involvement has been even more limited. He was named to the bench for the first two Bundesliga matches under Pacult but did not make an appearance. In subsequent games, Ogam was entirely omitted from the matchday squad.
Despite the challenges, Ogam remains positive, largely due to the vocal and encouraging support of his fans. “It’s really nice to have people support me even though I’m on the bench. They’ve supported me consistently, and while it’s not easy, I see it as good pressure. It keeps me going,” Ogam remarked. The striker is hopeful that with the arrival of new head coach Ismail Atalan, more opportunities to showcase his skills will arise.
Ogam’s patience and determination are being tested, but he is resolute in his belief that his time will come. Fans are eagerly awaiting his return to the starting lineup, hoping the former Tusker FC forward can make a lasting impact at Wolfsberger AC and continue his upward trajectory in European football.
