However, his assist tally rose to 13, reflecting a transition into a more creative role within a star-studded attacking unit.
Despite contributing to chance creation racking up 84 key passes Savinho’s limited goal output suggests he was used more as a facilitator than a finisher under Pep Guardiola’s system. Now, a move to Tottenham could give him the platform to showcase his pace, dribbling ability, and direct attacking threat in a system more suited to his natural style.
Tottenham’s head coach Thomas Frank is reportedly seeking to add flair and unpredictability to his forward line, and Savinho’s attributes make him a strong candidate. His blistering acceleration, ability to beat defenders, and proven track record in La Liga and the Premier League make him an enticing option.
However, the switch would present its own challenges. Tottenham’s tactical demands under Frank emphasize high-intensity pressing, quick transitions, and precise decision-making in the final third.
