Samsung appears set to expand its flagship series with the anticipated launch of the Galaxy S25 FE. The upcoming device is expected to arrive earlier than last year’s fan edition model, with a possible release slated for late August or early September.
According to leaked details, the Galaxy S25 FE will feature a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, offering a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display will likely be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, enhancing its durability.
In terms of dimensions, the phone is expected to measure 161.3 x 76.6 x 7.4mm, making it marginally thinner than its predecessor. Powering the device could be the Exynos 2400 chipset, an upgrade from the Exynos 2400e used in the previous fan edition. It will reportedly be available in two memory configurations: 8GB RAM paired with either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.
Camera specifications suggest a triple-lens setup at the back, comprising a 50MP main sensor with OIS, an 8MP 3x telephoto lens also with OIS, and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera. The selfie camera is expected to be upgraded to a 12MP shooter, compared to the 10MP sensor found on the Galaxy S24 FE.
Battery capacity is another area where users can expect improvement. The Galaxy S25 FE may pack a 4,900mAh battery with 45W fast charging support, surpassing the 25W charging speed of its predecessor. Wireless charging is also expected, with support up to 15W.
On the software front, the device is tipped to run One UI 8 based on Android 16. Continuing Samsung’s extended support policy, the phone could receive up to seven years of OS and security updates, aligning with the company’s current strategy for its flagship models.
With these enhancements, the Galaxy S25 FE is poised to offer a premium experience at a potentially more accessible price point, retaining the core features of the S25 series while catering to value-conscious consumers.
