The officer, who was attached to the Ilasit Police Post, was riding a motorbike with a colleague when the accident occurred. The two officers were heading to the local market for an evening meal after their shift, but their journey took a tragic turn.
The crash involved a head-on collision between the police officer’s motorcycle and another bike. The body of the police officer was transferred to Loitokitok Hospital’s mortuary, where it will await further arrangements. The accident has drawn attention to the ongoing challenges faced by road users in Kajiado, particularly in areas with high traffic volumes and risky riding practices.
This tragedy underscores the importance of road safety, especially as motorcyclists continue to make up a significant portion of accident victims across the country.
