The Kenya Meteorological Department has forecast that most parts of the country will remain sunny and dry from November 11 to 17, 2025, even as some regions continue to experience scattered rainfall.
According to the weekly outlook released on November 10, rainfall is expected in parts of the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Rift Valley, the Coastal strip, the South-eastern lowlands, and parts of North-eastern Kenya.
Daytime temperatures are projected to rise above 30°C in Coastal, North-eastern, and North-western regions, as well as parts of the South-eastern lowlands and the Highlands West of the Rift Valley. On the other hand, night temperatures may drop below 10°C in parts of the Central Highlands, Central Rift Valley, and areas near Mount Kilimanjaro.
In the Highlands West of the Rift Valley and Lake Victoria Basin, including counties such as Nandi, Kakamega, Kisii, and Nakuru, mornings will experience sunny intervals followed by afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Nights are expected to be partly cloudy with isolated showers.
Residents in Nairobi, Nyeri, and Kiambu should expect cloudy mornings with occasional rain, followed by sunny intervals. Isolated afternoon or night showers may also occur. Meanwhile, Turkana and Samburu will remain predominantly sunny and dry during the day, with partly cloudy nights.
The Coastal region including Mombasa, Kilifi, and Lamu will experience sunny intervals during the day with possible morning and afternoon showers.
The highest daytime temperatures are expected in Mandera (38°C) and Lodwar and Garissa (37°C), while Nyahururu will record the lowest night temperature at 7°C.
