Nigerian cleric Primate Elijah Ayodele’s 2025 prophecy has resurfaced following the death of Kenya’s former Prime Minister Raila Odinga. The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church reportedly warned of political tensions, economic challenges, and the potential demise of a prominent Kenyan politician in a 90-page prophecy unveiled on December 22, 2024.
In the document, Ayodele urged Kenyans to pray against the death of a key political figure, cautioning that the nation’s flag could fly at half-mast. “Pray against the death of a prominent politician in Kenya, as I foresee that the country will fly his flag at half-mast,” the prophecy stated.
The Nigerian prophet also highlighted other expected developments in Kenya, including protests by the youth, economic strains caused by government borrowing, and rising opposition against the President. “The President will take some steps that will boomerang, causing unrest. Honourable members will escape attacks and assassinations. Climatic problems will affect the country,” Ayodele’s prophecy read.
Ayodele has previously made headlines for his accurate predictions. In 2022, he forecasted President William Ruto’s victory over Raila Odinga, stating that Ruto would improve the country if he focused on Mount Kenya, youth, and women. In September 2025, he advised Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to support the Gen Z-preferred candidate in the 2027 elections rather than pursue his own presidential ambitions.
Earlier this year, Ayodele also warned that President Ruto’s political fortunes could decline, signaling potential challenges for his 2027 re-election campaign. The Nigerian cleric’s predictions often spark debate on social media, with followers and critics dissecting the accuracy of his visions.
With Raila Odinga’s passing at the age of 80 while receiving medical treatment in India, Ayodele’s warnings about Kenya’s political landscape have gained renewed attention, reinforcing the discussions around his 2025 prophecies.
