Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk and Prince Andrew are among high-profile figures named in newly released files connected to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The documents, handed over by the Epstein Estate to the House Oversight Committee, contain partial records including flight manifests, financial ledgers, and Epstein’s daily schedules.
One entry dated 6 December 2014 references Musk, stating: “Reminder: Elon Musk to island Dec. 6 (is this still happening?).” Musk has previously said Epstein invited him to the island, but that he declined the invitation. He has been approached for further comment following the release.
Separately, a flight manifest dated 12 May 2000 records Prince Andrew on a trip from Teterboro, New Jersey, to West Palm Beach, Florida, alongside Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, who was later convicted in 2021 of conspiring to traffic girls for sex. Additional ledger entries also reference payments for massages to an “Andrew” in early 2000, though it remains unclear whether this refers to the Prince.
Buckingham Palace records confirm that Prince Andrew was in the U.S. around that time for official engagements but the Prince has strenuously denied wrongdoing.
The files also mention other influential names, including internet entrepreneur Peter Thiel, former White House strategist Steve Bannon, and planned meetings with Bill Gates. Gates has previously called his association with Epstein a “mistake.”
Democrats on the House Oversight Committee argue the records highlight Epstein’s extensive network of powerful contacts and are urging for more documents to be released. Republicans, however, have accused Democrats of politicizing the issue and promised to release the full set of files soon.
Epstein, who died in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges, had long been linked to powerful figures across politics, business, and tech. Lawmakers say the continued release of files is key to ensuring justice for survivors and victims.
