The Houthi movement in Yemen has reiterated its firm stance against the ongoing Israeli offensive on Gaza, emphasizing their readiness for any form of military or political escalation. Addressing thousands during a mass rally in Sanaa, the group denounced what it described as widespread silence and inaction from Arab and Muslim nations, calling it a form of complicity that only fuels further violence.
In a fiery address read aloud to the crowd, the Houthis accused world governments of hiding behind empty statements that do little to stop the bloodshed. They declared that the Yemeni people would not waver in their solidarity with Palestinians, despite threats or military pressures from Israel, the United States, or their allies. According to the statement, the group remains “prepared for any escalation, regardless of its scale or source,” asserting their resilience and determination.
They also called upon both the people and governments of the Arab and Islamic world to implement an immediate and complete boycott of all goods and products originating from Israeli and American companies. The message was met with cheers from demonstrators, many of whom held weapons aloft and waved Palestinian flags during the show of support in the Yemeni capital.
Meanwhile, on the diplomatic front, international voices continued to call for an end to the hostilities in Gaza. French and Malaysian leaders reaffirmed their united stance in support of an immediate ceasefire. Speaking jointly, they emphasized the urgent need for a permanent halt to the violence, the unconditional release of hostages, and unhindered access to humanitarian aid in the war-torn enclave.
The leaders stressed that the humanitarian situation in Gaza has reached catastrophic levels, with civilians bearing the brunt of the conflict. They insisted that Israel, as the occupying power, has a legal and moral duty to facilitate the entry of aid and ensure the protection of non-combatants.
Back in the occupied West Bank, violence escalated as Israeli settlers launched yet another aggressive attack on Palestinian residents in the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah. The raid left three Palestinians injured while they attempted to fend off the assault. Local reports indicate that dozens of settlers stormed the town, targeting residents and vehicles in a chaotic and violent incident.
Two individuals were reportedly beaten during the confrontation, and a third was wounded in an attempted abduction by the settlers. Several vehicles were also damaged during the attack, adding to the growing list of settler-led violence across the West Bank in recent weeks.
As the situation across the Palestinian territories continues to deteriorate, calls for de-escalation, accountability, and justice grow louder. But on the ground, tensions remain high, with both popular resistance and international diplomacy struggling to bring a halt to the devastating cycle of violence.
